Massachusetts State Police recently demonstrated its deep commitment to serving our local community through a generous donation to Providence Ministries.
Providence Ministries was honored to receive a large collection of much-needed items from the Massachusetts State Police – B3 Springfield Barracks, located on Liberty Street in Springfield. The donation included brand-new winter coats, warm blankets, men’s socks, and backpacks filled with essential supplies — items that will provide comfort, warmth, and support to individuals and families experiencing hardship throughout our community.
We are especially grateful to Orlando Medina of B3 Springfield Barracks, who helped coordinate this meaningful effort. Trooper Medina is pictured with Providence Ministries staff member Mike Clark and volunteer Bobby Carr, who provided pickup service for the donated items.
As the colder months and daily challenges continue to impact many of our neighbors in need, gifts like these make a real and immediate difference. Every coat, blanket, pair of socks, and backpack represents care, dignity, and compassion for those we serve.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Massachusetts State Police for their generosity and for their ongoing dedication to the communities they protect and support. Their willingness to partner with Providence Ministries reflects a shared commitment to helping those most in need and strengthening the spirit of compassion across Western Massachusetts.
Together, through acts of kindness and service, we continue building a more caring and hopeful community for all.
