foodWorks is our 8 week Culinary Training Program that helps students with barriers to employment learn a skill, take the test and potentially obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certificate and ServSafe Managers Certificate, and get assistance in job placement. We believe equipping our community with a skill that enhances their knowledge will enhance their lives and, since its inception, foodWorks has graduated more than 132 students!

We not only help students learn a trade – we focus on life skills as well, spending time on interview skills, resume writing, dealing with conflict and different personality traits.  This well-rounded course is small in size and a wonderful hands on experience! Through our partnership with Access To Recovery (ATR) students have the ability to apply for their tuition to be paid and receive a weekly stipend for taking the class.

We are an equal opportunity program.

COVID-19 Note

foodWorks will be opening up for its first class on May  3 2021.  We will be limiting our class size to 8 to adhere to social distancing best practices and masks will need to be worn.
