Named after our foundress, Sister Margaret McCleary, SP, McCleary Manor is a Single Room Occupancy supportive sober living community for men who have experienced the traumas of homelessness and/or addiction and are seeking a safe, community to grow and thrive.
McCleary Manor is located on a hilltop above Providence Hospital in Holyoke MA, overlooking the scenic Connecticut River and is surrounded by majestic trees and grassy areas. There is room for a garden for any resident wanting to plant vegetables during the summer and an outdoor grill is available for use by the residents. The facility has three common areas which have free cable television, resident rooms are cable & Wi-Fi ready and residents may make arrangements to have cable connected in their room at their own cost. The home features shared living spaces, including fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms. McCleary Manor is handicap accessible (1st floor only). McCleary Manor residents can access resources/services provided by Providence Ministries.
McCleary Manor is a peer driven support community, where men support and encourage each other for continued growth in wellness and recovery. Residency requirements include 12 months or more of established recovery and a sustainable income. Residents must be dedicated to maintaining sobriety and serve as peer support to others during their residency at the Broderick House. Rents vary depending on room size and include all utilities. Interested candidates are welcome to apply by calling 413.533.5909. Please note: To apply for a room, you will need one full month’s rent and security deposit equal to one month’s rent.

The building is located directly on a bus line and is within walking distance of Kmart Plaza which includes Kmart, Stop & Shop and many other shops and eateries. In another direction, Dunkin Donuts and a small gas/convenience store are within walking distance as is the Holyoke Mall which has an abundance of stores/restaurants. The Riverdale Shops in West Springfield are a few miles down the road and easily accessible by bus.
